Dear Sirs/Madame,



The Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) organized its Sixth Congress

on November 25-27, 2005. Some agendas were discussed in the Congress.

Among them were the guidelines of the organization's working programs and

the elections of new President and Secretary General.



Through a democratic process of elections, the Congress elected Heru

Hendratmoko (News Director of the 68H Radio News Service) as President and

Abdul Manan (Tempo Magazine Journalist) as Secretary General for the 2005

? 2008 periods. The two replaced Eddy Suprapto and Nezar Patria, President

and Secretary General for the 2003 ? 2005 periods.



Currently, we have also completed the setting up of a new executive board

of AJI for the 2005 ? 2008 periods. The list of the executive board is

enclosed in the annex.



By this notice, we thank you for your attention. Hopefully, we could keep

continue our cooperation, which could be getting better in the future.
