Dear IFJ Affiliates in Asia,
Following on from the item in the IFJ Asia-Pacific e-bulletin on Tuesday, please find attached further information from the IFJ on the April 8 International Day of Protest Against Impunity in the Killing of Journalists and Media Staff, with a focus on deaths of journalists in Iraq.
The IFJ is asking all affiliates to mark April 8, the day of the attack against journalists in the Palestine Hotel in Iraq two years ago, by delivering letters of protest to the US embassy in your country.
Attached is a draft letter to send on to the US embassy in your country tomorrow, April 8 2005.
Please send on this letter, preferably delivered in person, or by email. Please insert your and your union's name. Can you please make sure you send copies of an actions (emails, letters, photos of protests etc) to us at ifj@ifj-asia.org.
